1. INTRODUCTION

Ejournals is a bibliographic database of electronic journals. It originates in 2002 to provide bibliographic searches to Universitat Rovira i Virgili's users and to take advantage of publications.

At the moment it contains 1.321 records, themes are plurisdiciplinar.

Every record includes the following fields: journal title, link and coments.
 

2. INTRUCTIONS FOR SEARCHING

You can go to the search screen and write the word into the box search or select an initial in the letters list. Database makes a exhaustive search in the title field.

We recommend you use english for searches since the vast majority of titles are in this language.

2.1. Wildcards

Wildcards are available in the search box. The truncation symbol is the dollar ($), used at the end of words to
replace any number of letters.
E.g. :
     Phys$
     (retrieves Physiology, Physics, etc.)
 

2.2. Advanced Search

To make an advanced search you can use booleans operators (AND, OR, ^). Circumflex is equivalent to NOT operator in others databases.

AND

Example   :  Search for Physics and Dinamics

     Phys$ and   Dinam$     or    Phys$ * Dinam$

^

Example   : search publication on Physics but not about Dinamics

     Phys$ ^ Dinam$ ( in this case you can not use NOT)

    Be careful with word's order, it is not the same  Phys$ ^Dinam$ as Dinam$ ^ Phys$

OR

Example : Search publications on Physics and about Dinamics

      Phys$ or Dinam$  or Phys$ + Dinam$
 

Also you can do advanced searches to combine more than two words like this:

     (Phys$ or Dinam$) and Math$

    Will search publications in the fields of Physics or Dinamics and Mathematics.
